Employee of the Month

July 2011

The Employee of the Month for July 2011 is Jill Neice.  Jill is a Detective Sergeant in the Police Department.  She has been employed by the Town for 13 years.

Detective Sergeant Neice was recently certified by the International Association of Identification in Crime Scene Investigation. The certification was the result of a year long training and application process. Sergeant Neice applied for a grant through the Virginia Forensic Science Academy, with whom she is an alumnus.

Sgt. Neice is one of the first in the state to have taken and passed the rigorous exam that may be required in the near future in the state of Virginia.  Sgt. Neice completed most of her studying on her own time. Due to the fact that Sgt. Neice wanted to better herself and the Department, we are recommending her for employee of the month.

In addition to the honor of receiving the Employee of the Month award, Jill will receive an additional paid day off from the Town and be eligible for the Employee of the Year Award at the end of the year.
