Pulaski Police Department would like to warn the public of a possible telephone scam targeting senior citizens.  We had a complaint of a caller claiming to be from a medical group, asking for bank account information.  The telephone number the call was placed from originated in China.  This potential scam targets senior citizens ranging from 60 to 85 years of age, and who live alone.  Never give out your personal information over the phone unless you make the call yourself.  If you think you have been a victim, take the following steps:  close affected accounts, report to police, place a “Fraud Alert” on your credit report, and report it to the Federal Trade Commission.  For questions regarding this matter, contact Officer Megan Jennings at (540) 994-8676, or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
