The Support Services Division is responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the required equipment and resources to function as a police department. Support Services maintains the department’s vehicle fleet, the storage and inventory of all property seized as evidence and for safekeeping, all communication center equipment, the video magistrate system, and all issued uniforms and equipment. Support Services is also responsible for the departments’ facility maintenance, along with offsite installations such as the communications emergency operations facility and the department’s firearms training range.

. Community Presentations
Community Awareness is essential for decreasing criminal activity within our Town’s neighborhoods, schools, and business areas. The Crime Prevention Specialist participates in presentations for schools, churches, businesses, civic organizations, and private corporations. These presentations include, but are not limited to: Child Passenger Safety, Personal Safety for Women, Personal Safety for Court Volunteers, Healthy and Safe Children’s Day, Business Workplace Violence Prevention, Senior Adult Safety, Alcohol Awareness for Youth, and Police Officer Career Day. Project Lifesaver
Project Lifesaver is a multi-faceted tracking system that allows a patient wearing a special transmitter to be tracked and ultimately located in case of an emergency. This system is used for patients with medical issues such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Autism. Due to the urgency of these situations, the Project Lifesaver Coordinator must inspect the transmitting equipment once a month.
